Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Engineer located in Cypress, TX. The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of civil construction projects, including site development, roadway improvements, utilities, drainage systems, and public infrastructure. This role manages all phases of project delivery—from start up and permitting to construction and closeout—ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives. The Project Engineer works closely with onsite and company management to ensure these objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing projects from startup through closeout.
- Review engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, surveyors, and clients.
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Support scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking efforts.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and DOT standards.
- Assist with permitting, utility coordination, and environmental compliance.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and as-built documentation.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders and assist in resolving field issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or sitework construction.
- Strong understanding of siteworks, utilities, road construction, and civil infrastructure.
- Proficiency with management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exposure to scheduling and cost control systems (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with DOT, county, or municipal projects (preferred).
